Zambia Postpones 2027 National Budget Presentation to 6 November

During the week, Zambia’s government postponed the presentation of its 2027 national budget to 6 November while working on additional fiscal measures. Parliament had also approved an expansion of the government structure from 24 to 30 ministries, with potential implications for public spending and allocations. The proposed K19.9 billion supplementary budget includes K18 billion in additional domestic borrowing. These are proposed public-finance measures rather than newly awarded contracts.
